Elections and Polling

Haiti's electoral process, followed closely

Haiti has gone years without a national vote. We track what is scheduled, what has slipped, and who holds the authority to decide, and we write about it as it moves. Every figure below carries the date it was true and the source it came from.

Analysis

We do not run our own opinion polls. Where polling is discussed, it is someone else's survey and we name who ran it, when, and how.

The seventeen approved political groupings

On 13 August 2026 the Conseil Électoral Provisoire published the final list of political groupings cleared to contest the December elections. 17 groupings, 228 parties between them. Search by grouping, by party, or by acronym.

Source: Conseil Électoral Provisoire, note CEP/DC/041-2526, 13 August 2026, and its annexed list. Names and acronyms are reproduced as the CEP wrote them, including its own spelling.

One discrepancy, noted rather than corrected. The VIKTWA grouping is headed « LISTES DES PARTIS (50) » but the list beneath it runs to 52 numbered parties. Adding the header figures gives 226. Adding the parties actually listed gives 228, which is the total the CEP states on its own final page. We have kept all 52 and flagged the header.
